EJCBA 2026 Professionalism Seminar Diminished Capacity, Elevated Duties: Professionalism and Ethics when Clients (or Counsel) are Impaired The EJCBA’s 2026 Professionalism Seminar will commence with a panel discussion on capacity issues related to each area of law (civil trial, civil non-trial, criminal, and family). This topic is intended to encompass both mental health and substance abuse issues suffered by clients and/or counsel and the impact of such incapacity on the lawyer’s professional and ethical duties. Panelist: The Honorable David P. Kreider, Jack J. Fine, Esq., Mary K. Wimsett, Esq., and Kathryn H. Knepper, Esq. Moderator: S. Scott Walker, Esq. Professionalism Seminar is approved for 3.5 General CLE hours, which includes 2.0 ethics hours and 1.5 professionalism hours Time: Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and Program begins at 9:00 a.m. Members: $50, Non-Members: $100 * Deadline to Register: Friday, April 3rd at Noon
